The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was established in 1994 and has since developed international and genuine transdisciplinary education and research focused on accelerating the transition to sustainability. IIIEE strives to link research results with their application and collaborates actively with businesses, authorities, and organizations locally, nationally, and globally. At IIIEE, the work is focused on: policy instruments, business models, sustainable consumption, and urban development.
IIIEE is now seeking an Assistant for employment at 8–10 % for a period of 10–12 months.
Responsibilities
- Administration: Support in connection with conference logistics and communication with participants and speakers, preparation of conference materials, updating the conference website, drafting newsletters, managing social media, and on-site event management.
- Research Participation: Support in compiling and editing conference proceedings, as well as contributing to reporting and dissemination of results after the conference, including in the form of educational materials for students at IIIEE/LU.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
- Admitted to relevant undergraduate or advanced studies focusing on product life cycles and environmental issues.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Environmental Management and Policy at IIIEE.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English.
- Experience in developing communication strategies and plans.
- Experience in creating and writing communication materials, including message design and interviews with relevant stakeholders.
- Experience in publishing marketing content on digital marketing channels, including websites, email, and social media (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively both on-site and remotely, as well as with an international team.
- Documented knowledge of, or interest in, product life cycles, circular economy, and sustainability issues (should be linked to studies).
- Experience in organizing events or conferences.
- Technical experience with digital marketing and communication channels and tools (i.e., websites, email, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), etc.).
Merits for the position include:
- Technical experience with digital event management tools (e.g., registration systems).
- A flexible attitude and openness to learning new skills.
- Professional experience working with senior executives.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role.
Other Information
- The position is a fixed-term employment of 10–12 months, equivalent to 8–10 percent of a full-time position.
- A teaching assistant position may not exceed 50 percent of a full-time position and may be limited to a maximum of one year, with a total maximum employment period of three years. The employment must not negatively affect studies.
- The employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), Chapter 5, Sections 8–12.
