Ångermanland District Court is a medium-sized court centrally located in Härnösand. Härnösand is situated near the High Coast, known for its unique and beautiful landscape. Nature is close by, with short distances between home, work, school, preschool, and activities. Härnösand is a see and residence city with a rich cultural and outdoor life.

At Ångermanland District Court, criminal cases, civil cases, and matters from the municipalities of Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik are handled, as well as enforcement cases and certain types of matters from Västernorrland County. The court has its registry with a court location in Härnösand and another in Örnsköldsvik. Approximately 40 people work at the court.

The court will move into a new court building in Härnösand during the year, which will offer modern, secure, and functional premises. The new premises create excellent conditions for the court to continue growing and further developing its operations. At the same time, work continues to develop operations at the court location in Örnsköldsvik.

As an acting district court judge, you will be responsible for your own panel and work with criminal cases, civil cases, and matters. You lead the work on your panel and are a supervisor for the law clerk assigned to the panel. As an acting district court judge, you also play an important role in supervising the court's law clerks and in the development work continuously carried out at the court.

Qualifications

To be considered for employment, you must be or have previously been a permanent judge, or have been or previously been a member or law clerk in the Court of Appeal, or for at least six months have performed the duties of a Court of Appeal law clerk. You must meet the requirements set in the Judges' Appointment Board's requirement profile for permanent judges. It is an advantage if you are a Court of Appeal Assessor. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Terms of Employment

Commencement by agreement. The positions are fixed-term appointments, for a maximum of one year.

The Swedish Courts apply individual salary setting.
