Description

You are welcome to apply for the position of Mother Tongue Teacher with the Multilingualism Unit in Värnamo Municipality. The Multilingualism Unit coordinates all activities regarding multilingual children/students in primary and upper secondary school. You will be part of a work team together with other mother tongue teachers.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include teaching the subject of mother tongue, providing study guidance in the mother tongue, and participating in the implementation and analysis of a pedagogical mapping.

We are currently looking for teachers in the following languages:

• Italian 5%
• Kinyarwanda 90%
• Luganda 10%
• Urdu 10%
• Ukrainian 70%
• Somali 50%
• Dutch 65%
• Dari 15%
• Norwegian 10%
• German 40%
• Tigrinya 50%

Qualifications

You have a Swedish teacher education or a foreign teacher education approved by the Swedish Council for Higher Education, along with a valid teaching license. Adequate subject knowledge in the mother tongue is required, as well as documented knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The position requires commitment, responsibility, and the ability to plan. It is important that you are clear, empathetic, and show respect for the students' needs. You have an easy time building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. We appreciate it if you attach a personal letter and CV.
