What do we offer?

You now have the opportunity to become a teacher in our studio operations at Furutorpskolan. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and special needs educators associated with the studio, as well as the teaching staff in the regular classrooms.

Your Role

The teaching primarily focuses on the core subjects of mathematics, Swedish, and English, although support and instruction in other subjects may also occur. The operations are tailored to students who spend part or all of their school day in the smaller group setting of our studio. Together, you will work on developing teaching methods to increase goal achievement for the students. Guided by our strategic focus, we work together on leadership and stimulation, extra adaptations, and special support.

The role includes planning, evaluation, and documentation, as well as responsibility for other tasks inherent to the teaching profession. You will use Schoolsoft as a tool for documentation, student, and parent communication.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a teaching qualification for grades 4–9 in mathematics, and preferably also in Swedish and English. Additionally, we would appreciate if you have a broad subject competence. Experience in special needs/special education, working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), and working from an accessible learning environment are meritorious.

As a person, we see that you are committed to guiding students to good results and helping them train and develop their abilities. Training, compensating, and adapting demands are second nature to you. You have a low-affective approach and experience working with students who need strategies to acquire knowledge and understand social relations in a school environment. We see you as clear, structured, solution-focused, and flexible in your work with students. You contribute to a positive collaboration climate at the workplace and are skilled at building good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians.

You are well-rooted in the school's steering documents and actively participate in pedagogical development work and collegial learning processes, while creating conditions for every student's learning and development.

We expect you to have good IT skills and the ability to use digital tools with students.
