Omniglot is now looking for a native language teacher in Hausa on a 5% basis, starting in week 33.

As a native language teacher, you will teach children and young people in your native language. The teaching takes place outside regular school hours, usually in the afternoon between 14:00–17:00, and sometimes in the morning between 08:00 and 09:00. This assignment is for a school in Sigtuna, so you must be prepared to commute to and from Sigtuna once a week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting native language lessons;
• Managing attendance and absence for your students;
• Email contact with guardians;
• Grading and providing feedback;
• Reporting your working hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot’s central unit;
• Participating in professional development together with other teaching colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Lives in the Stockholm area;
• Has Hausa as their native language;
• Speaks and writes Swedish or English fluently;
• Is proficient with computers;
• Is attentive to students' needs and interests;
• Is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff.

Teaching experience is an advantage.
