SiS Youth Home Råby admits both girls and boys. We offer both closed and open placements for closed youth care as well as treatment spots for young people placed under the Law (LVU).

Job Description

We are looking for you who want to make a difference in the students' lifelong learning. We value a positive outlook and a strong belief in the students' abilities.

SiS Youth Home Råby admits boys and girls aged 15–21 from all over the country. We provide year-round schooling for students in both compulsory school and upper secondary school, as well as in adapted school forms. Teaching takes place in small groups with a focus on individual needs and prerequisites. It is crucial to build trusting relationships that make students feel secure in their education. Your duties include investigating and mapping the students' knowledge levels, school history, and any specific learning difficulties. You work in a team with psychologists and treatment staff and maintain regular contact with the students' parents, home schools, and social services.

The role includes planning, teaching, assessment, and mentoring. Your work is firmly rooted in current curriculum plans and grading criteria.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching certification (Lärarlegitimation)
• Qualification to teach Natural Science
• Ability to plan, teach, and follow up on your teaching

Merits:

• Combination with another subject, preferably Biology and/or Physical Education.
• Experience working with students who require special support and within institutional care.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The position is a holiday service position.

The position may be subject to a security classification, which means a security investigation with background check must be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
