We are currently looking for an enthusiastic teacher for our after-school program (fritidshem) at Slättängsskolan F-6 for the autumn term. The position involves working together with certified and experienced colleagues to oversee the after-school activities and teach a subject in the primary school.

Your role with us

You are responsible for the pedagogical activities in the after-school program and combine this with teaching in the school. Your main task is to create quality-assured, engaging, and inspiring education in accordance with the goals of the national curriculum.

You work based on democratic values and take students' wishes into account in the after-school activities. Through close collaboration with primary school and preschool teachers, we ensure a consistent thread in planning and meet the needs of different students. Together with your colleagues, you also lead outdoor and recess activities.

Your relationships with students are characterized by mutual respect, cooperation, trust, and positive expectations. You are clear about requirements and expectations and systematically document the activities. You are active in collegial learning and reflect on your work, both individually and in groups, based on the organization's goals and external influences.

Who are we looking for?

You have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in the after-school program. It is meritorious if you also have a teaching license for grades 1–6 in the subjects of physical education, music, or art. Previous experience working in an after-school program or other pedagogical activities is considered a plus.

You adhere to the ethical principles for teachers and actively promote democratic values, starting from the premise that all children and students are of equal value. You have strong leadership skills, work with goal-oriented management, planning, and documentation, and have the ability to inspire and meet children at their level.

You choose pedagogical tools based on individual needs and integrate digital technology into both daily operations and your own work. Your good communication skills, sensitivity, and ability to collaborate are crucial for building trusting relationships with students, parents, and partners.

Slättängsskolan is a school for grades F-9 with one class in each grade up to grade 6. On the F-6 level, there are approximately 150 students and 20 staff members.
