We are now looking for two brave, sensitive, and engaged social secretaries for our team Children, Youth & Family within Individual and Family Care (IFO). Welcome with your application!

The Workplace

Individual and Family Care in Nordmaling Municipality has approximately 35 employees and is also responsible for operations in Bjurholm Municipality. The operations are divided into five areas: Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.

We are now looking for two social secretaries for the Children, Youth & Family area. In the group, social secretaries work with the support of a team leader with authority within the field of social child and youth care.

The Role and Responsibilities

In your daily work as a social secretary in social child and youth care, you are responsible for preliminary assessment of incoming reports, investigation, and decision-making according to the Social Services Act, as well as follow-up of measures and placements.

You work according to BBIC (Barns Behov i Centrum / Children's Needs in Focus) with a strength-based approach and have a clear focus on children's secure upbringing conditions.

You work to fulfill the organization's goals, are involved in the development and improvement of the quality of operations, and contribute to and value a good working environment.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work (sociologist). You must also hold a B-driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience of exercising authority within the social services, preferably within child and youth care.
  • Good knowledge of the social services' mission and current legislation.
  • Experience and training in BBIC and strength-based methods in social work.

Personal qualities/abilities that are important for success in the role are that you:

  • Have courage and can act independently with great integrity.
  • Are flexible and can adapt your approach when circumstances suddenly change.
  • Are good at creating collaboration with others – you are sensitive and communicate clearly.
  • Are accommodating and have an interest in the target group.
  • Are structured and can organize and prioritize your work to deliver results within given timeframes.

Employment

A certificate from the Police Authority's criminal record register must be presented before employment can be concluded. You can order such a certificate directly from the Police.
