We at Erkaboskolan are now looking for an engaged teacher who wants to make a difference for the children and young people who find it particularly tough to cope with their school life. Erkaboskolan is a resource school with a catchment area within the entire Nässjö municipality. The school's work is focused on children and young people who are in need of specially adapted support to succeed in their schooling. We work from a holistic view with the aim of shaping learning environments where we can meet the student based on their life situation, well-being, abilities, knowledge level, and background. The setup for the student's schooling is built up in close collaboration with both the student and the guardian. To be able to meet the student's individual needs, the work at the school is based on a high staff density.

The employees at the school have broad competence and several have long experience of working with children and young people with special needs. The school has close cooperation with Nässjö Municipality's Student Health Service, where different professions, such as counselor, psychologist, and special educator, are available as support when advice and guidance are needed in daily work. The school also has its own student health team.

Job Responsibilities

Your main task as a teacher at Erkaboskolan is to, together with other educators, plan, be responsible for, and follow up on the student's schooling based on individually adapted goals. You conduct lesson sessions with an individual student or in a small group. You will also be a mentor for a small number of students, which means you have a special responsibility to coordinate the school's work around your students. This may, for example, involve participating in meetings regarding the student with, for example, social services, habilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as with other schools in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in primary school. We would like you to have qualifications in Swedish, mathematics, and/or English, but you who have other qualifications are also welcome to apply. You are welcome to have experience of working with students in need of special support. Competence in dealing with children and young people with NPD diagnoses or who have difficulty functioning in a regular learning environment due to other complicating circumstances is meritorious. You have a solid interest in being part of developing learning environments that reach the student who has not previously succeeded in their schooling. You have good social and empathetic skills as the work is built around a close relationship with each individual student. We naturally place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
