Job Description
Welcome to Sorgenfriskolan! Are you interested in working at a school that maintains an active development process? Do you care about being part of the students' development, both academically and socially? Are you curious, positive, and open-minded? Then you are the right fit for us!
As a teacher at Sorgenfriskolan, you will be part of a year-level team consisting of three teachers responsible for two classes. Together, you will plan the students' education and development, and decide on any necessary changes to teaching methods based on the student group in your classes. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 1-3 of the compulsory school, where you will educate and support the students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Sorgenfriskolan, we work in year-level teams as well as subject groups with a grades F-9 perspective. Your role includes mentorship. As a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, which gives you the opportunity to follow them more closely in their academic development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you inform and keep the student's guardians updated on the student's academic progress through regular development meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 1-3 in Mathematics, Swedish, Social Studies (Ma, Sv, SO), or Natural Sciences (NO). If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an asset. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout the school day. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
To fit as a compulsory school teacher with us, it is important that you enjoy working closely with colleagues both within and outside the team. We have high qualifications among the leisure-time staff, and one staff member is attached to each class.
We look forward to receiving your application!
