The National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse problems, all over the country. Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a Treatment Assistant at SiS!

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you ensure that the routines on the ward function as they should. You play a major role in the stability and security of our clients, forming the foundation of daily life. You contribute to maintaining security on the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure our clients receive the security and safety they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule: day - evening, weekends, or night shifts.

As a summer temporary worker at SiS, you will undergo an adapted introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You must have:

  • A minimum 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or other equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area. *Exceptions to the requirement of a minimum two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
  • A valid B-class driver's license.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and involvement. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to build good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.

We want to reward you for helping us during the summer period. Therefore, you will receive a bonus if you work full-time as a monthly employed summer temporary worker in client-facing work for more than four weeks. Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment by agreement, covering the summer period from June to August. Introductory training will be held on June 22-23, and attendance on these days is required.
