Employment Market Unit

We are now looking for a Project Coordinator for our Employment Market activities for an ESF project in Kalmar County, in collaboration with municipalities and the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).

Your responsibilities

You will be the driving force behind the project. The work involves, on the one hand, identifying and bringing participants into the project through consultation, and on the other hand, finding pathways to studies and/or work together with the participants. Initially, this may involve forming an idea about a job, which is then gradually developed further.

You will not work alone; the focus is on finding pathways through collaboration within education and the labor market – for example, in meetings with study and career counselors. A key thread through the project is that participants will develop their Swedish to a functional level. Available pathways in this work include existing staff networks, contact with the Swedish Public Employment Service, self-developed contacts, and an expanded collaboration network within the municipality regarding integration, education, and competence supply issues.

You will work in close connection with other municipal initiatives regarding education, integration, and the labor market.

You may work at both group and individual levels with activities such as: information sessions, study visits, language training, networking, work practice, language practice, subsidized employment, etc.

You will have administrative responsibility for the project and, together with the manager, handle project groups, reporting, and internal follow-up.

Language development is central to the project and involves actively supporting participants in achieving functional Swedish. Language training is integrated into activities such as practice, study visits, networking, and individual support.

The position is a fixed-term project employment running until 2027-10-31.

Your qualifications

A post-secondary education is required. Merits include documented knowledge of the labor market, education, and knowledge of established pathways into work with various employers. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Experience of working in collaboration between different authorities, with an understanding of the regulations governing public authorities, is considered an advantage.

You have a strong commitment to people who need support to move forward towards the labor market or education. You are comfortable leading in groups and creating new contacts. High demands are placed on communication, sensitivity, empathy, and teamwork. We will value personal qualities highly.

An important part of the project is working with participants who have limited knowledge of Swedish. Experience of integration work or a personal integration background is therefore an advantage.

The operations are located at Edholmsgatan in Västervik, and you will be part of the existing team within Knutpunkten.
