The Children and Education Committee of Laxå Municipality is in the midst of an exciting development process where you, as an engaged and positive educator, can influence and develop education for future generations. Laxå Municipality is now looking for a special needs teacher with certification for adapted primary school. Since we value collegial collaboration highly, we work based on a local collective agreement where special needs teachers are employed on a term basis with 40 hours of workplace-based time and 5.5 hours of trust-based working time. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Together with colleagues and the student health service, you will be important in providing a secure and educational teaching environment for our students in the adapted primary school.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for students in learning situations, e.g., with reading and writing support and basic mathematics learning.
- Be responsible for teaching in the student group.
- Support students with mentoring.
- Work in collaboration with other teachers and staff, working together based on the student's specific needs.
- Work with physical activity and pedagogical activities.
- You are familiar with and follow the current laws, policies, and routines of the operation.
- You work and document in the operational systems available.
- Work based on the municipality's overarching development areas and goal vision.
Qualifications
Certified special needs teacher/teacher for adapted primary school.
Broad subject competence is meritorious.
Based on your profession, you have good knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to identify and work based on the individual's needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You have good collaboration skills, are responsive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and other professional groups. We also expect that you can design action plans, follow up, and evaluate implemented measures.
We would appreciate if you have previous experience working in adapted primary school and wish to contribute your competence to the work team and others in the operation.
