What can we offer you?

Odengatan is a municipal supported housing facility (HVB) located in Falköping Municipality, operating for over 10 years. The facility has 15 places for the target group of individuals with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends. There are supervisors on-site during daytime to support the work.

The facility operates based on the concept of ESL ("An Independent Life"), which requires you to have good knowledge of household management and personal finance, as well as understanding why predictability is important for creating security. Most activities with clients are based on conversation, meaning you should be good at building relationships and able to encourage and motivate clients towards changing their lives. A large part of the work involves motivating clients to change themselves, instilling hope, contributing to development, and creating a sense of meaning in a life often characterized by psychosocial problems, early vulnerability, and/or substance abuse issues.

What are we looking for in you?

A degree as a social worker (socionom), social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer is required. You must have at least two years of post-secondary education in social work to qualify for the application. Additionally, an assessment of personal suitability will be conducted.

Education in Low-Affective Handling (Lågaffektivt bemötande), MI (Motivational Interviewing), and AP (Arbets- och prestationsstöd) is meritorious.

We want you to be good at building relationships and trust. You should be confident, curious, and resilient. You must be able to work in a structured manner and take initiative when needed. As a person, you should enjoy flexible work and take responsibility for planning your daily work together with clients and colleagues. At the same time, you need to be calm, methodical, creative, and able to handle parallel processes and reduce anxiety in daily work to achieve long-term goals. Above all, you should enjoy seeing other people grow.

You must have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to be able to document. The working language is Swedish, and we assume you master it both in speech and writing. However, we also see multilingualism as an asset.

A Category B driver's license is required. Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the application period.
