Job Description

As a communicator here, you will use communication as a tool to contribute to achieving the hospital's goals. You will initiate, plan, execute, and follow up on internal and external communication efforts in close collaboration with colleagues within the hospital and with other departments. Providing advice and support on communication matters to managers and project leaders is a key part of the role, as is supporting the organization with communication in development and change processes. A central part of the assignment is to contribute to strengthening our employer brand. You will also be part of the hospital's crisis organization.

About the Workplace

Hallands Sjukhus has approximately 4,000 employees and is responsible for a large part of specialized somatic care in Region Halland. We are located at the emergency hospitals in Halmstad and Varberg, as well as at specialist clinics in Kungsbacka and Falkenberg. Here, you will become part of an organization with excellent results in national measurements, including in healthcare quality and patient satisfaction.

The position of Communicator is located at the Secretariat and Communications Department, which is part of the Area for Leadership and Operational Support. At our department, communicators, researchers, and administrative coordinators work. Your workplace will be at Hallands Sjukhus in Varberg or in premises on Kyrkogatan in central Halmstad.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree, for example in media and communication science, and we would appreciate it if you had a few years of experience in communication work.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are creative, flexible, and humble, and thrive in collaboration and networking. You feel confident in your professional role and take the initiative. Curiosity and the courage to try new working methods and digital tools are important, and good analytical skills are needed to understand the hospital's complex operations. Explaining complex things in a simple way requires that you are also pedagogical.

You express yourself very well orally and in writing and have an easy time formulating texts and messages adapted to the target audience and context.

Since travel is included in the position, a Category B driver's license is desirable. In accordance with our environmental policy, we use public transport whenever possible.
