Valora Staffing is now looking for an experienced Public Finance Economist for an exciting consulting assignment within municipal operations in Skåne.

About the Assignment

You will be part of a central staff function and work closely with managers, leadership, and operations regarding financial management, planning, and follow-up. The role involves significant responsibility for ensuring sound financial management and providing qualified support in financial matters.

Responsibilities

• Long-term financial planning for operating and investment budgets
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Preparing materials for annual reports, quarterly reports, and committee plans
• Follow-up and internal control
• Financial support and advisory services to managers and operations
• Preparing and presenting reports to the management team and committee
• Collaboration with economists within the organization

Qualifications

Requirements

• At least 3 years of work experience as an economist
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic degree in economics
• Experience with similar tasks in the public sector or municipal operations
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up work
• Experience working closely with managers and management teams
