Do you want to help shape the future of social work in Halmstad? We are now expanding our Open Help service in Oskarström and are looking for you who want to contribute to making social support more accessible, preventive, and closer to the residents. As a Social Guide, you will have a unique opportunity to work with colleagues to develop new ways of working, focusing on creating an easy entry point, building relationships, and making societal support visible. Here, you will become an important part of the work to strengthen people's opportunities for a secure and independent life.
Your Responsibilities
As a Social Guide, you work both operationally and developmentally. You help shape the content of the operations while meeting residents in their daily lives. The work is varied and based on presence, collaboration, and initiative-taking.
You will:
- Work according to a developed model with outreach social work, guidance, and relationship-building interventions
- Meet residents in their daily lives and contribute to making social support more accessible
- Collaborate with local actors such as civil society, non-profit organizations, and municipal operations
- Coordinate contacts and participate in creating new forums for cooperation
- Document and follow up on the work continuously
- Drive assignments both independently and together with the team
The work takes place close to the operations in the area, meaning you will encounter many different needs and situations. This provides ample room for creativity, learning, and testing new working methods that make a real difference.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university degree in behavioral sciences or another education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience in preventive social work and good knowledge of social services operations.
You express yourself very well in speech and writing in Swedish, hold a B-driver's license, and thrive in a role where you work both independently and with others. Experience in meeting people in vulnerable situations, as well as language and cultural competence that reflects societal diversity, is meritorious.
To succeed in the role, we base ourselves on the following competencies:
Networking – You create and maintain relationships with various actors and build trust over time, so that collaboration functions and develops.
Service Orientation – You meet people with sensitivity and respect, adapt your approach to their needs, and work to ensure that every contact becomes meaningful and helpful.
Flexibility – You adapt when conditions change, reprioritize when necessary, and find solutions in new situations, so that the work can continue forward.
Stress Tolerance – You maintain focus and a professional approach even in pressured situations, which allows you to make thoughtful decisions and contribute to stability in the work.
You take initiative, see opportunities, and actively contribute to developing the operations forward.
What We Offer You
With us, you get meaningful work where you help develop the future of social work in close collaboration with others.
We offer:
- Flexible working hours
- Wellness allowance and activities through our wellness inspirers
- Opportunity for holiday swap
- A workplace characterized by collaboration, development, and engagement
Here you get the opportunity to influence, think new thoughts, and make a difference in people's daily lives.
