ABOUT THE POSITION

Do you want to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are currently looking for you who want to work as a Personal Assistant in Umeå and the surrounding area.

Summer is approaching, and at Kura Omsorg, we are seeking dedicated summer substitutes for several of our clients. Our clients have varying needs and are looking for personal assistants who can provide support and create a sense of security when regular staff are on vacation.

If you have the opportunity to start earlier as a temporary hourly employee, or wish to continue working as a temporary hourly employee after the summer, we consider this a great advantage.

Working hours may occur at any time of the day, both weekdays and weekends. The employment degree and the duration of the assignment may also vary. Start date is by agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

As a personal assistant, you help our clients around Umeå with their daily routines, personal care, and activities. You are an important part of their daily life, and your work contributes to them being able to live an independent and active life. All our clients are different, with varying needs and wishes.

Tasks that may occur:

• Daily routines and household chores
• Personal hygiene, dressing and undressing
• Mobility assistance
• Support during meal situations
• Accompanying during activities and outings

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Are interested in working as a summer substitute.
• Are empathetic and have a genuine interest in working with people.
• Have the ability to work independently and take personal responsibility.
• Have experience in personal assistance (meritorious but not a requirement).

The positions are primarily located in Umeå and the surrounding area, but assignments in nearby areas may also become relevant. To be employed by us at Kura Omsorg, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting an employment with us is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID document and submit a certificate of personal details (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal details from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must have turned 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register control will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be made in good time.

We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts in accordance with current legislation and the new rules that came into effect on March 1, 2026.
