Grantomta Montessori is an independent preschool and school that has been in operation since 1994. The school has approximately 190 students from preschool class to grade 5, and the preschool has approximately 100 children, starting from one year of age. Grantomta is an independent school that offers a calm, harmonious, and stimulating environment where each student is allowed to develop according to their own unique abilities.

The school is located in a pleasant environment near forests and the archipelago on Värmdö, 25 minutes from Slussen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

For the autumn term of 2026, Grantomta Montessori School is looking for an engaged teacher for instruction in wood and metal crafts (slöjd). The position is 20% and scheduled for one full day per week, on Fridays.

You conduct creative and modern teaching and find strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth. Your duties include, among other things, planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher with eligibility for wood and metal crafts for grades 1-6. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in daily work. Furthermore, you take a holistic view of the student and their needs.

You have a strong interest in developing the pedagogical activities to be both fun, inspiring, and challenging. The work requires that you have good cooperation skills, a positive view of students, and a professional attitude.

The position is 20% and scheduled for one full day per week, on Fridays.
