Welcome to us at Mockfjärd School!

Mockfjärd School is a grades 0-9 school, beautifully located in a nature-friendly environment in Gagnef Municipality in the heart of Dalarna. Every day, over 400 students attend classes at the school, distributed across two parallel streams in grades 0-9. We also have an after-school center with approximately 120 enrolled children. In the same building, you will also find the municipality's adapted primary school, the upper secondary school's IM program, as well as a school and public library. We have a staff of over 80 people in various professional roles. We have a large schoolyard with many activities and opportunities for movement.

At our school, good relationships, knowledge at the center, and hope for the future are guiding principles. You should also know that in Gagnef Municipality, we place great value on promoting and preventive measures aimed at creating a good learning environment for all students.

The school's student health team consists of a school nurse, special education teachers, special needs teachers, school counselor, school psychologist, and principals.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Spanish. You will inspire and give them the desire to learn a new language. An important part of the job is to adapt the learning environment based on the needs you encounter at the individual and group level. One way to do this is to find alternative methods in your teaching to meet the students where they are in their development.

You need to see value in creating good contact with guardians, and you are careful to maintain clear documentation regarding your students. You will individually and together with your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents, and with the rest of the staff in the work team, you contribute to creating a holistic view of the student.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 6-9 in Spanish. You have good IT skills, and if you also have experience in using digital tools in a learning process, it is an advantage.

To handle this leadership task, you need to have a good ability to plan your subject and lead your students based on the primary school curriculum, as well as to see their varying needs and interests. You need to have an inclusive approach, based on good pedagogical insight with a well-thought-out view of knowledge and students. If you have knowledge and experience of working with students' varying challenges related to neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), it is an advantage.

Even though your main task is to be responsible for teaching in your teaching groups, it is important that you can have a holistic perspective where you have an interest in and work for the entire school's development work. For you to thrive in the role, it is therefore important that you place great value on collaboration with other professions at the school, that you are structured but still flexible, and thus quickly can adapt to changed circumstances.

Conditions

The position is a 50% permanent employment with start date according to agreement. Prior to employment, teaching certification and a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register must be presented.
