Nordinskolan is the upper secondary school in the town of Smålandsstenar with a large geographical catchment area that, in addition to Smålandsstenar, includes Skeppshult, Broaryd, and Burseryd. We are a school with approximately 300 students in four parallel classes. The school was built in 2015 and has since been equipped with a new sports hall and outdoor sports field.

The position is located within the school's study center operations. The operations are divided into different parts based on the students' challenges. This ranges from ASD spectrum, NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), and language difficulties to motivation issues and high school absenteeism. In this role, you will work with subject teachers, social pedagogues, and resource persons. The operations are led by the school's special needs educator in consultation with EHT staff and principals.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include planning, teaching, assessment, and grading with small groups and individually for students who have action plans and special support. This also includes mentoring some students at the Study Center, where you maintain contact with the home regarding the student's school situation and conduct development meetings. Assessments for special support will be included as a task when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher with experience working with students facing the aforementioned difficulties. We seek a team player who can bring more specialized competence to our staff group and be part of our development in this changing operation.

Your collaboration is deeply linked to your ability to cooperate and participate in the development of yourself and the operation. With us, this means that you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within the rest of the municipal group.
