Being a personal assistant is a responsible role, believe me. You can say that you are someone else's "arms and legs"; you help with the things the person can no longer do themselves. This can involve helping with everything from taking a walk to getting dressed. Sometimes you cook meals or help the customer with showering and toilet visits, depending on the customer's needs. About the client: Our client is an 8-year-old boy living in Nora. He is a positive, lovely person with a passion for activities and fun. The boy has a congenital brain malformation that has caused cerebral palsy. He needs help with his entire daily routine. He needs active assistance to receive the stimulation he requires. Furthermore, he needs help with all personal care, and his meals are provided via a feeding tube (PEG). He has epilepsy. As an assistant, you will help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and other personal needs. You will also join him during training, walks, and other activities he goes on. You will also help with household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Requirements and job information: To succeed in this assistant role, we believe you are engaged, positive, and proactive. You likely have good physical fitness and enjoy speed and action, liking activities such as visiting the playground, swimming, or taking long walks. You have the ability to take initiative and work independently, but you must also be able to read the room as you will be working within a family. We believe that as an assistant, you have prior experience working with children with diverse abilities. Working hours: We are looking for staff for a scheduled shift period from May 3 to August 31, as well as substitutes. Working hours: Weekends: 08:00–18:00. Weekday evenings: approx. 16:00–19:00. During weeks 28, 29, 30 & 31, the assistance is scheduled between 08:00–18:00. Having a car and driver's license is meritorious, as is previous experience working with children with special needs. Other: We have a collective agreement and individual salary setting, as well as wellness benefits of up to 4,000 SEK/year.
