Folkuniversitetet is one of Sweden's leading providers of vocational higher education (YH). We offer approximately 50 courses nationwide within technology, healthcare and social care, civil engineering, IT, economics, and administration. We are currently looking for a driven and engaged Education Manager for our YH unit, based in Jönköping or Linköping!

About the role

As an Education Manager at Folkuniversitetet, you have a varied workday. You coach our students through their education and into the working world, while simultaneously acting as an engaged project manager who leads and develops existing courses and assists in creating new ones. Together with the business community, we ensure that our courses match the needs of the labor market and lead to employment. The role involves many social interactions and networking, both internally and externally – with students, lecturers, colleagues, industry representatives, and authorities. You are part of a team with an open work climate where we share knowledge, problems, and solutions with each other.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Recruitment and selection of applicants for our courses
• Hiring course coordinators and guest lecturers, and collaborating with them on the course structure
• Responsible for and ensuring educational quality towards students and authorities
• Planning and administration of courses
• Participating in the marketing of courses
• Support and contact with students throughout the entire course duration
• Participation in and leadership of management group meetings, as well as establishing business contacts
• Sourcing and follow-up of LIA placements (Learning in the workplace)
• Development of content and operations in consultation with the business community and course coordinators
• Preparing materials for program applications and participating in application processes for new courses

Your qualifications and background

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good experience in education, preferably within vocational higher education
• Has a university degree
• Has the ability to create, develop, and maintain contacts internally and externally
• Is structured and can prioritize and work in a solution-focused manner
• Has the ability and interest in familiarizing yourself with different types of industries and courses, as your areas of responsibility may vary over time
• Is proactive with an interest in the development and improvement of operations
• Is meticulous in your work with documentation and follow-up
• Enjoys working both independently and in a team
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Is a proficient IT user, preferably with experience of various administrative systems as well as Word and PowerPoint
• Upholds an approach and value system characterized by respect for everyone's equal value and right to knowledge

About the employment

Permanent position, 100%, starting in August 2026 or as agreed. Probation period applies.

Location: Huskvarna/Jönköping or Linköping. Travel within the scope of work occurs.
