Description
Solbackeskolan is a multicultural school for grades F-6 with approximately 220 students, including a special needs school where most students follow subject areas. We work closely between the regular school and our special needs school throughout the school day to provide each student with the best possible support and to find forms that develop each student in the best way. Our after-school care is divided into two groups by age, where both regular school and special needs school students attend together. At our school, we actively work with language development and motor skills.
We are now looking for a certified teacher for after-school care (fritidshem) to join our school.
Responsibilities
During your workday, you will be an important resource in one of the school's activities during the morning. In the afternoon, you continue working in one of our two after-school groups, where you, together with colleagues, contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and meaningful after-school environment for our students.
As a teacher for after-school care, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities at the after-school center. You are responsible for planning, designing, and evaluating the activities based on the curriculum's purpose and central content for after-school care, and actively planning and working for gender equality and equity in education.
We believe that values-based work, approach, and attitude are important. For the past few school years, we have prioritized this area for all staff at the school. In this improvement work, we collaborate with Närhälsan and follow a model called PALS. PALS is an evidence-based school model that systematically and strategically works with school staff's attitudes and approaches to reduce behavioral problems in school and increase students' academic performance. Through positive behavioral support, a good learning environment and good relationships between staff and students are created. We would like you to tell us what values-based work and a good approach mean to you!
Communication, language development, and student influence are at the center of our after-school activities, as we believe in the power of every voice being heard and developed. We also see movement as a key to a meaningful after-school time. Through initiatives like The Daily Mile, our engaged Well-being Leaders, and Idrottsakademin's activities after school, students get the chance to move, have fun, and grow both physically and socially. Together, we create a safe, active, and inspiring environment where all children have the opportunity to thrive.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for after-school care. If you have previous experience in the profession, it is meritorious, but we of course welcome newly graduated candidates as well. As a newly graduated teacher, you will receive a mentor at the school and participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction, which provides networking and activities for your development during the first year.
Furthermore, it is also meritorious if you have experience in pedagogical work in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. We would appreciate it if you have experience with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).
To thrive with us, you need to have a drive to make your and others' work better every day. We assume that you are a skilled educator who can adapt your teaching to the student's needs and see an inclusive approach as a strength. You also have the ability to adapt your communication based on the situation and ensure that what you convey reaches the recipient. It is important that you can change how you work when things change. You can quickly change your perspective and attitude and see opportunities in changes.
Welcome with your application!
The position is filled subject to the condition that it is not taken by internal reasons.
Other
As an employee in our administration, you are offered among other things a wellness allowance, a bike benefit, and employee support.
