Job Responsibilities

At Lorensborgsskolan, we are looking for you who have a broad subject competence and wish to work as a primary school teacher for grades 4–6! You will be part of a team with certified and experienced teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' learning and development. We are looking for you who are confident in your role and naturally put the student's needs and prerequisites at the center.

In your role as a mentor, you have a specific responsibility to follow up on the students' knowledge development according to the routines of Malmö City and Lorensborgsskolan. You build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with the students and create an open, positive, and professional dialogue between home and school.

Qualifications

You as an applicant are a certified teacher for grades 4–6 with competence in Science (NO) and Social Studies (SO), and additional merit is given for competence in Swedish as a Second Language. You are an engaged and confident teacher with clear pedagogical and relational leadership. You have the ability to create good interactions and to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You wish to participate actively in the school's development work. You work based on the curriculum and current governing documents when you plan, implement, evaluate, and document your teaching, both independently and together with your colleagues.

You follow up on teaching and student results in collaboration and dialogue with your work team, other colleagues, and student health services. You want to develop your teaching and work systematically with planning, implementing, and assessing students' knowledge. You adapt the teaching based on the students' prerequisites and prior knowledge. You have good didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout the day.
