TREATMENT ASSISTANT
Are you a person who exudes warmth and security but can also set boundaries when necessary? We are looking for you who have the opportunity to work on an hourly basis and are available during the summer.
We offer you an important and exciting job where no two days are alike. Together, we help girls aged 15–19 create a safe, responsible, and independent future. Here, you will find dedication and a lack of pretension; we have a strong culture where we help each other succeed.
OUR TARGET GROUP
Villa Bergerska is a residential care home (HVB) that receives girls aged 15–19 who expose themselves to or are in risk environments that can significantly harm their health and development. This may involve children and young people with serious non-aggressive norm-breaking behavior, such as severely breaking parental authority, poor school attendance, or destructive, self-harming behavior. We have the capacity to receive girls under both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) with short notice, around the clock.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Treatment Assistant, you are part of a treatment team working with the youth and participate in daily operations according to the facility's routines. You ensure that planned activities are carried out, work based on the youth's implementation plans, conduct therapeutic and motivational conversations, and perform documentation tasks.
Collaboration, flexibility, and sensitivity are extremely central to the role.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
This is a job for you who have a positive view of humanity and feel humility when working with young people in difficult situations. You are confident in yourself and have the ability to remain calm even under pressure. You need to be a stable person but also flexible, empathetic, and able to adapt to each girl's needs, which is crucial for offering optimal support and guidance.
The ability to motivate and see an individual's strengths is a valuable asset. It is also important to be able to work in a structured manner and have a professional, solution-focused approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
It is meritorious if you have competence in TMO, CBT, MI, rePULSE, and low-arousal approach. Being multilingual is always meritorious, as is knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities.
REQUIREMENTS
We are only looking for staff with at least two years of post-secondary education in a field relevant to the operation, such as social work, behavioral science, social pedagogy, or treatment assistance. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you command the Swedish language fluently in both speech and writing. You have knowledge of the Social Services Act and good documentation skills.
APPLICATION
Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Upon employment, we will request extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register for residential care.
Recruitment is ongoing.
We apply individual salary setting.
A Category B driver's license is required.
Working hours: Primarily evening shifts.
We look forward to receiving your application!
