We are currently looking for you who want to become part of our wonderful team and who, during the summer, wish to work as a personal assistant on an as-needed basis for our male client in Skillingaryd.

What does this role entail?

This position is an on-call appointment for job opportunities that may arise throughout the summer, specifically when double staffing is required or in the event of sick leave among permanent staff. The role of an on-call assistant suits you if you are looking for extra work alongside studies, another job, etc.

We would be happy if you remained with our team in the role of on-call assistant after the summer.

Our client is a cheerful and active man who requires 24/7 assistance, as well as double staffing for certain social activities outside the home.

As a personal assistant, you will take full responsibility for the structure, planning, and execution of daily routines, activities, and shopping. In your work with the client, you ensure his safety and supervision, while also motivating and supporting him in his daily life.

Communication between you and the client takes place verbally, via picture symbols (pictograms), and to some extent also through sign language.

We seek someone who is flexible and has relatively good availability for work with short notice.

• Have a genuine interest in helping others.
• Be a strong swimmer, as the client enjoys swimming in nearby lakes during summer days.
• Be able to work flexible hours – days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Have experience in care and elderly care. (This is an advantage, but personal suitability is highly valued).

Requirements:

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Non-smoker.

Other Information

Employment type: Hourly employee on an as-needed basis during the summer.

Scope: On an as-needed basis during the summer.

Working hours: Variable, Monday–Sunday. Shifts are usually divided into day shifts or night shifts with waiting time. In some cases, 24-hour shifts with waiting time may also be scheduled.

Start date: Immediately.

We offer individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.

In the event of employment, you must provide a certificate of good conduct from the criminal record office. (Background check required for home care work with elderly persons or adults with disabilities).
