Social Worker / Facility Manager – Borås, Västra Götaland

Location: Västra Götaland County (based in Borås). The position is based in a central location with minimal travel required.

We are currently looking for a Social Worker / Facility Manager who wants to help shape the future for our clients. At Braliva, a university degree in Social Work (Social Worker) is a mandatory requirement. We also value prior work experience in similar roles and experience working with children.

Your Role

We are seeking a self-reliant and flexible Social Worker / Facility Manager with commitment and a positive attitude. Since the unit is growing, the position is initially a shared role between Facility Manager and Social Worker/Contact Person. Over time, as the unit expands, the Facility Manager role will become more dominant.

Responsibilities and Tasks

As Facility Manager:

  • Hold overall responsibility and maintain the license with IVO (The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare).
  • Manage administrative operations, including social documentation and the creation of implementation plans.

As Social Worker / Contact Person:

  • Be available to guide and provide security through individual support in daily life.
  • Act as a contact person for several clients (both adults and children) with regular meetings.
  • Provide counseling, which may include trauma processing, crisis management, and discussions regarding violence or situations to increase understanding.
  • Provide practical support such as transportation, contact with authorities, medical appointments, and identifying employment opportunities (e.g., internships or work).
  • Promote good health through support for exercise and activity.
  • Help individuals increase their self-confidence and independence.

Who are you?

You have a relevant post-secondary education, specifically a degree in Social Work, which is a requirement. You have experience in similar roles and are comfortable working with children. You are self-reliant, flexible, and have a positive approach to work and people.
