Description

Perstorp Municipality is the small municipality with approximately 850 students in primary school. This means that in your role, you have close access to management, and we expect you to work independently under your own responsibility. Your placement will be at Centralskolan (Central School).

Responsibilities

In your role as a Study and Career Counselor, you have primary responsibility for developing counseling from a broad perspective for grades F-9. You plan and carry out various activities to create hope for the future and motivation among our students, both at group and individual levels. You are responsible for PRAO (workplace practice) including contact with workplaces and placement of students, as well as counseling and information regarding upper secondary school choices for both students and guardians. You collaborate with mentors/class teachers, student health services, and other staff. You are responsible for contributing to the development of the schools' work with study and career counseling as a whole-school responsibility, as well as evaluating and developing the school's SYV plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree in Study and Career Counseling, where experience of having worked as a SYV in primary school is meritorious. You have a broad and updated knowledge base regarding educational paths and students' choice options. You have good collaboration and communication skills and can build good relationships with both students, staff, and guardians.

Great importance will be attached to personal qualities.

Conditions

The position is a temporary contract for approximately 1 year with a full-time engagement (100%).

The person offered the position must provide an extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record.
