Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for a man in his 60s. As a personal assistant, you support the care recipient with personal hygiene, cooking, mobility, communication, and various activities. Through an inclusive approach, you promote the care recipient's participation and create meaning. Your work is always based on the individual's needs.

The assignment concerns a care recipient with some physical assistance needs. The position is located in Hovshaga in the northern part of Växjö, where the work is primarily performed in the care recipient's home. The work is mainly performed individually, but with elements of double assistance during certain tasks. The role also includes some administrative duties, such as record keeping.

Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. Joint planning may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with great commitment and a strong focus on the care recipient. To succeed in the role, you need to be clear and confident in your communication. You have the ability to build trust with the care recipient and their close ones. Since the work is largely performed individually, you need to be independent, stable, and decisive.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic computer skills.

To be considered for the position, a completed education from the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, nurse education with additional training, caretaker education, childcare worker with at least two years of education, or other education deemed suitable for the operation, e.g., behavioral science or pedagogical education at university level of at least 120 credits, is required.

To be eligible for employment, you must provide an extract from the police's criminal record register for verification of own entries in the criminal record register/individual person (442.3) according to Section 9, Paragraph 1.
