The Child and Education Department has overall responsibility for preschool, school, and upper secondary school. In total, we have approximately 600 employees who together work with education and development for the age group of 1–19 years. Furulund Upper Secondary School is "The small school with the big heart" and has approximately 600 students attending both vocational preparatory programs and study preparatory programs, adapted upper secondary school, and the introduction program. RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes mentoring and teaching based on the upper secondary school curriculum on the Industrial Technology program with a specialization in welding technology. You translate your professional knowledge into pedagogical educational moments where theory and practice interact. You reflect individually and together with colleagues on your work, with the aim of continuously developing both pedagogically and professionally.

Furthermore, you assess, analyze, and document the individual student's needs and results, where assessment from practice is taken into account. In the role of a teacher, you create a safe and developmental learning environment and work to ensure that students learn the importance of a safe working environment for a sustainable professional life.

You build trusting relationships with students and other partners that are characterized by positive expectations. To ensure access to workplace-based practical placements, it is part of the role to create and maintain networks with employers. You also market the school and the education at fairs and open houses to attract future students. You are proactive and see the program team as a natural and important part of the developmental work with the student in focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who primarily have a teaching license with a focus on the Industrial Technology program and welding technology. Furthermore, you should have documented professional knowledge and industry experience in welding technology, including associated work tasks, as well as knowledge of technical drawing. You should also have knowledge of working with drawing programs. You must have the ability to plan individualized and varied teaching based on a comprehensive pedagogical plan. You must have good collaboration and communication skills. As a leader, you are characterized by the ability to set boundaries, and you are a good representative of our values. Personal suitability is given great importance. A category B driver's license is required.
