Purpose and Goals

We are looking for an Accountant who wants to be part of our journey. You will work with accounting, tax, and financial reporting. You will also play a key role in establishing new working methods and developing the accounting function. Currently, the accounting function is outsourced in Sweden and the US, but as we grow, tasks and responsibilities will gradually be taken over by the Finance team. You will support Candela's continued expansion to ensure high quality in our financial reporting processes. The role is broad and varied.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Create, send, and follow up on customer invoices; manage accounts receivable
• Manage and record customer payments and deposits in the accounting system
• Update and reconcile bank and Stripe accounts
• Manage accounts payable and vendor administration
• Handle expense reporting and travel booking platforms
• Record manual journal entries to ensure correct accounting of new purchases and disposals
• Assist with prepaid expenses and accruals on a monthly basis
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with tax declarations and statutory reporting
• Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
• Payroll administration, support, and reconciliation in accounting
• Review financial information for accuracy, report errors, and suggest efficiency improvements
• Monitor internal controls and their support of the company's governance framework

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant education, preferably with a focus on accounting
• Relevant work experience in accounting, payroll, or similar
• Good understanding of accounting principles such as K3 and/or IFRS
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written
