Do you want to work closely with people and contribute to a safe and meaningful daily life? We are now looking for a Support Pedagogue and a Support Assistant for the group home at Nyhagsgatan, who want to become part of our wonderful team.

Here you will meet a diverse group of users with various diagnoses and disabilities, creating a workplace with much variation and good opportunities for development in your professional role. You will become part of an engaged team where you work together to create safety, structure, and participation in daily life.

We work with low-affective handling and use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) as well as visual supports and other tools to meet each individual's needs. Our work is based on the user's strengths, needs, and right to participation.

As a Support Assistant…..

you work closely with the users in their daily lives, providing support, guidance, and care based on individual needs. You contribute to creating a safe and stable existence and work together with colleagues and other actors to see the whole picture regarding each user.

The work involves among other things:

  • motivating, guiding, and supporting users in daily life
  • planning and carrying out activities
  • contributing to a safe and developmental environment
  • collaborating with colleagues and other actors

Safety, stability, and patience are important parts of the assignment. You need to be clear in your approach, able to work independently, and at the same time contribute to the team's joint work.

As a Support Pedagogue…..

you work both in the daily support and with a special responsibility for the pedagogical work. You develop and ensure the quality of methods, documentation, and implementation plans, and contribute to maintaining high quality in the pedagogical direction of the operations.

The role includes among other things:

  • supporting users in their daily lives based on individual needs
  • developing and ensuring the quality of social documentation and methods
  • working with AAC and contributing to low-affective handling
  • supervising and inspiring colleagues
  • following up and developing methods together with the manager and team
  • collaborating with relatives, guardians, and other actors

You are attentive, structured, and have the ability to adapt your approach to different needs and situations. You thrive in collaboration with others but can also take personal responsibility and make independent decisions when needed.

You contribute to a good work climate and see development as a natural part of the work. Patience, clarity, and a solution-focused approach are important qualities in the role.

The positions are permanent appointments at 80 percent and involve work during daytime, evening hours, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • For the position of Support Assistant, we are looking for you who are trained as a nurse assistant or have completed the Child and Youth program with courses focused on functional variations.
  • For the position of Support Pedagogue, we are looking for you who are trained as a Support Pedagogue.
  • Experience from disability care, low-affective handling, sign communication, and a B-driver's license are meritorious.
  • The position requires a certificate of no criminal record (extract from the criminal record). The extract must be for residential care homes (HVB-hem) and is ordered via the Police website.
  • We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
