About the Position

In this role, you will plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in mathematics and natural sciences. You will become part of a team working together to create a good learning environment for our students. You will belong to a working group with teachers in grades 4-6, but since the school is small, you will also have close collaboration with your colleagues in grades F-3.

At our school, we place great emphasis on values-based work, and in this role, you will be involved in maintaining our core values. This autumn, we will be part of a central initiative in mathematics, where you as a teacher in the subject will be involved.

Examples of duties:

• Actively participate in work to achieve higher goal fulfillment and a good learning environment.
• Maintain good contact with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Participate in and drive development issues.
• Be familiar with and follow the organization's current laws, policies, and routines.
• Work and document in the operational systems in use.

About the Workplace

Almbro School is a rural school with a calm and idyllic geographical location, approximately 10 km south of Örebro. In terms of operations, the school is a calm and safe place where we, approximately 20 employees, take care of each other. As a new employee, you can count on support in your new role. We are a F-6 school with approximately 140 students.

Qualifications

As a teacher with us, it is important that you are a calm and stable person who contributes to a safe school environment. You work well with others and have an attentive approach where you listen and communicate. Furthermore, you have knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and prerequisites. You are clear in your communication, ensuring that messages get through, take responsibility for your task, and drive your processes forward. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and attitude. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language sufficiently to communicate with students and other staff, as well as to document in writing what the operation requires.

Requirements:

• Teaching license with qualification to teach mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 4-6, or alternatively, a qualification-granting degree that entitles to a teaching license.

Merits:

• Previous experience in the teaching profession.
• Teaching license with qualification to teach technology for grades 4-6, or alternatively, a qualification-granting degree that entitles to a teaching license.
• Training in ICDP.
