About the position

In this role, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching within the leisure-time centre. You will become part of a team working together to create a good learning environment for our students, where we capture and develop operations based on student interests. During daytime hours, you will be involved in school activities, supporting students and collaborating with other educators at the school. The position includes opening and closing the leisure-time centre, which requires you to be able to commute to the workplace during these times.

Examples of duties:

  • Support students' social development and upbringing
  • Use methods and approaches that lead to increased goal achievement
  • Keep up to date with current research within your area of operation
  • Work and document in the existing operational systems
  • Be familiar with and follow the organization's current laws, policies, and routines

About the workplace

Almbro School is a rural school with a calm and idyllic geographical location, approximately 10 km south of Örebro. In terms of operations, the school is also a calm and safe place where we, approximately 20 employees, take care of each other. As a new employee, you can expect support in your new role.

Qualifications

As a leisure-time centre teacher, you have good collaboration skills, listening and communicating effectively, and contributing to a calm and safe school environment. You are confident and engaged in your role, able to see the big picture and adapt to needs and situations. You have knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and prerequisites. To achieve the organization's goals, we expect you to be driven and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. You are innovative, solution-focused, and bring new ideas and approaches to work-related issues. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language to a level that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, and can document in writing as required by the operation. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in leisure-time centres, or alternatively, a qualifying degree that entitles you to teacher certification

Merits:

  • Experience working with guided interaction (ICDP)
  • Experience working actively with values-based work
