In the care sector for people with disabilities, we work to create security, participation, and independence. We offer individually adapted support that strengthens each person's opportunity to live as independent a life as possible. Our main focus is on support for people with decisions under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), but we can also provide support under the SoL (Social Services Act).

We are in an exciting phase of development following a major reorganization. It has been an intense period at times – but also developmental, educational, and full of new opportunities. Now we are building further together, and we are looking for you who want to contribute with commitment, new perspectives, and drive to our ongoing improvement work.

Our mobile teams in Visby consist of experienced and competent employees with broad knowledge and long experience in the field. Here there are good opportunities to develop, learn from each other, and contribute with your own perspectives in the daily work.

We are now looking for an engaged support pedagogue for our mobile team 2 in Northern Visby!

Your responsibilities

As a support pedagogue, you will among other things:

  • Support users in their daily lives according to LSS based on individual needs
  • Help with hygiene, meals, and other daily tasks
  • Motivate and support users in leisure activities and social gatherings
  • Work from a salutogenic approach
  • Guide and support colleagues in pedagogical work
  • Contribute with pedagogical methods and working styles
  • Work with implementation plans, record keeping, and routines
  • Ensure that users receive the right aids for development, participation, and independence
  • Collaborate with the unit manager regarding quality and development in the operations
  • Support other operations within the department as needed upon instruction from the unit manager
  • Adapt the work based on the operations' changed needs
  • Work according to schedule with day, evening, and sleeping on-call duties, as well as every other weekend

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a university college education as a support pedagogue. For the position, a B driving license for manual transmission is required, as well as the ability to cycle for work purposes.

We would like you to have experience working with various disabilities and an understanding of how these can affect the individual's daily life. You have good knowledge of pedagogical and evidence-based methods, such as MI (Motivational Interviewing), systemic quality work, and clarifying pedagogy, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation within HSL (Health and Medical Services Act), SoL, LSS, and confidentiality. You also have knowledge of the division of responsibility between different social services. Knowledge of alternative communication is an advantage.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are stable and secure in your professional role, with good collaboration skills and an approach that contributes to a good work climate. The work requires pedagogical insight, where you can adapt your interaction based on the individual's needs. We also see that you are proactive and have a good holistic view in your work.

Furthermore, you need to be structured and work methodically, with the ability to plan and prioritize your work. A development-oriented approach is also important, as you are expected to contribute to the continued development of the operations. You also need to be quality-conscious and able to work carefully and legally with documentation, while feeling secure in following current routines.

Before an offer of employment is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.

Interviews are conducted continuously – we warmly welcome your application!
