About Magelungen Resource Gymnasium Jönköping

Magelungen Resource Gymnasium in Jönköping is located in the KFUM Youth House. The school has 70 students distributed across the Introduction Programme (IMA) and the Social Science Programme (SASAP). We offer education for students with extensive needs for special support, and our operations are characterized by a non-hierarchical collaboration between different professions. The students we meet often have social, psychosocial, or neuropsychiatric difficulties, and many have a long history of school absenteeism. To help these young people succeed in school, we work with small-scale operations, high staff density, enhanced psychosocial support, and individually tailored approaches based on each student's prerequisites and needs.

We have a systemic and salutogenic approach, focusing on working with the whole person and building on what works. We apply a mentalizing and solution-focused attitude. Our goal is to provide a context where all students have a chance to succeed based on their individual conditions.

About the position

Magelungen Gymnasium Jönköping offers a unique position where you will work with students who have extensive needs for special support. In the "school with the small context," we work in small student groups where you, together with the students, can truly make a difference. We meet our students with high staff density and competence in special pedagogy. Teaching takes place in small groups within a cohesive environment. We aim to create a good learning environment that is small enough to offer a personal atmosphere with peace for study and personal treatment, yet large enough to be an arena for meetings and relationships.

We are now looking for a teacher at 50% who will teach on both the Introduction Programme and the Social Science Programme. Currently, we have certified teachers covering all subjects, so we are looking for the right person rather than a teacher with specific qualifications. Depending on your subject expertise, a plan will be made accordingly. You will be part of and work in a team where the group values both our students and each other. The work is done close to the students and within the daily operations. The employment degree is 50% with the possibility of creating a schedule that suits both you and the operations. Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher who preferably has experience in meeting young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Merits include special pedagogical competence and experience in special pedagogical work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are calm, stable, mature, and structured. You are motivated by working together with others and being part of the daily operations.

Employment form

The position is a permanent employment at 50% starting August 11, 2026. We apply a 6-month probation period.
