ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for our client outside of Alingsås. We are looking for someone interested in working as a temporary substitute and who can step in with short notice, e.g., in case of absence by regular staff.

The working hours are distributed as follows:

• 07:00-17:00

• 17:00-23:00

• 23:00-07:00 awake night shift

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer if you could start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his mid-30s living with a brain injury and epilepsy. He has significant care needs and uses aids such as a shower chair and a wheelchair. He requires full support for transfers.

As an assistant for our client, your duties will include among other things:

• Assisting with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

• Contributing to making his days meaningful by participating in activities he enjoys

• Adapting to the client's daily condition based on his medical state.

The client has a strong interest in cooking and enjoys good meals. He loves walking in nature and appreciates the fresh air. Additionally, he loves singing, and listening to music is one of his favorite pastimes.

You should also be flexible, observant, and have a sensitive touch to meet the client's different emotions and states during shifts. The client prefers female applicants, but the most important thing for us is your personality and suitability – that always comes first.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in a home with fur-bearing animals

• Valid driver's license and access to a car for commuting

• Previous experience working as a personal assistant, or alternatively, trained as a nursing assistant

• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

• Experience working with epilepsy or brain injuries

Employment level: Temporary substitute

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of no objections (police check). From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
