About the role and your responsibilities

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher (Grades F-3) for a shared position between Backaskolan and Delfinskolan in Lund.

The role involves teaching students in grades 1–3 who are in need of special support in reading, writing, language development, and mathematics. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the schools' special educators and other student health teams. You will work proactively, preventively, and remedially based on the organization's goals, guidelines, and current research.

The position is organized as a shared role between Backaskolan and Delfinskolan. Working hours are distributed between the schools, and you will collaborate continuously with both units to ensure a shared vision and equity regarding support measures and teaching.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher (Grades F-3) and hold a degree and certification as a special educator with a focus on reading, writing, and language development or mathematics. You must have documented experience of teaching for at least five years. Experience working as a special educator, preferably within Grades F-3, is an advantage.

You have good ability to collaborate with different professions within the school to create an accessible and equitable education for all students. You are receptive, clear, and relationship-building, and have a professional and solution-focused approach.

• have good competence in early reading and writing development.
• work preventively and proactively regarding students in need of special support.
• can adapt teaching based on students' different needs.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of:

• The Swedish National Agency for Education's assessment support
• education in speech disorders or intellectual disability

About the workplace

Backaskolan and Delfinskolan are F-3 schools in Lund focusing on safety, accessible learning environments, and working towards high goal achievement. The schools work actively with early support measures, relational leadership, and collegial collaboration to create good conditions for all students to develop as far as possible.

As a special educator, you will become an important part of the schools' student health work and pedagogical development. You will be part of a network with special educators and contribute to the schools' joint development work regarding language, reading, and writing development.
