At Norrängsskolan, you will have the opportunity to perform important work in a pleasant environment.

You will teach students at an adapted upper secondary school in the subjects of Swedish, English, and Mathematics within our 4 national programs. As a teacher here, you work closely with students, guardians, colleagues, and student health services to create the best possible conditions for learning and development. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the students' individual needs and the program's goals. The position may also include mentoring duties and related tasks. Furthermore, you will participate in collaborative work with subject teams and work groups.

Who are you?

We are looking for an engaged special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability, qualified to teach Swedish, English, and Mathematics. As a person, you have the ability to meet students individually and in groups, spreading a positive atmosphere in your interactions. You are confident, relationship-building, and solution-focused. You have a good ability to adapt teaching to different needs and see collaboration as a natural part of the job.

A special needs teacher education with a focus on intellectual disability is meritorious. We would prefer that you have prior experience teaching in an adapted upper secondary school. Additional merit is given if you are qualified in Social Studies (SO) and/or Natural Sciences (No) for grades 4-9.
