About the role

We offer an interesting, varied, and responsible position as a medical secretary where you will have the opportunity to work alongside various staff categories. Your duties will consist of standard secretarial tasks such as healthcare documentation, booking, Tele-Q, scheduling, reception duties, and some IT work. There will be opportunities to plan and organize your working day both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues. It is important to us that you feel secure in your work, and we continuously work on our introduction program where you will have your own mentor to support you.

You will be part of a team of medical secretaries and support the work in our cross-professional team. Additionally, our clinic is often represented in operational improvement work by individuals from each professional category.

About us

The workplace is located on the hospital campus in Halmstad. Approximately 50 people work at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinics in Halmstad. We are divided into two clinics with identical assignments and separate unit managers for each clinic. At our workplace, psychologists, special educators, doctors, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, cleaners, psychotherapists, and medical secretarians work in teams. We offer specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and treatment through conversation and/or medication for children aged 0–17. We also offer group therapy for both patients and parents. Our goal is always to maintain close and effective cooperation with schools, social services, and other healthcare units to meet the needs of children and young people for a functioning network, thereby creating a holistic approach. Our clinics are Hbtqi-certified.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a medical secretary or have healthcare documentation training. We prefer candidates with previous work experience, but we also welcome those who have just started their professional careers. Previous experience with the documentation system Cosmic is an advantage, as is experience working in systems such as 1177, Tele-Q, VAS, HAK, and Agresso.

As a person, you enjoy providing good service and have a welcoming attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You need to be flexible and have good skills in planning and prioritizing in daily work. You must also be able to handle having multiple tasks running simultaneously. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
