Field Secretary for Individual and Family Care in Svalöv

The Individual and Family Care department works to provide support and assistance to children, young people, adults, and families in vulnerable situations. Our mission is to create security, promote good living conditions, and strengthen individual independence – always with the person at the center.

Within IFO (Individual and Family Care), there are four units: Investigation and Follow-up, Work, Integration and Welfare, the Authority Unit, and Open Care. In total, approximately 50 employees work together to make things better for Svalöv's citizens.

We are now expanding the team and are therefore looking for an engaged and experienced field secretary who wants to be part of our crime prevention work in the municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a field secretary, you will work proactively and preventively among young people throughout the municipality, focusing on building relationships and creating trust to support young people in making positive choices and preventing problems such as crime, substance abuse, and mental health issues.

You will:

• Work proactively and preventively among young people in their arenas, such as schools, youth centers, and public places
• Build relationships and create trust with young people to support them in making positive choices
• Be available, listen, provide support, and refer to the right help if needed
• Collaborate closely with schools, social services, leisure activities, police, and parents to detect early and strengthen young people at risk of harm
• Together with other key figures in the municipality's crime prevention work, develop working methods, routines, and cooperation agreements to implement operational field work in the regular organization

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social worker or have another relevant higher education degree that the employer considers equivalent.

You also have

• experience working with authority matters concerning children and young people
• experience with change management
• good knowledge of young people's needs and challenges
• ability to build relationships and create trust with young people
• good communication and collaboration skills
• ability to work independently and in teams

The assignment implies availability for work during hours outside of normal office hours.
