BMSL is a multilingual preschool and primary school offering education according to the Swedish curriculum. From the age of one until ninth grade, our students pass through the same gates here in central Lund. This provides security and continuity for students, teachers, and parents alike. Today, there are 44 children in the preschool and 420 students in the primary school (grades F-9). Educators and children/students come from various countries and diverse cultures. BMSL is a highly stimulating and dynamic workplace. In our activities, children are exposed to English, French, and Swedish from the time they start preschool until they leave primary school.

We are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teacher in Mathematics

Do you want to help create the best conditions for students' learning and development in mathematics? We are currently seeking a Special Needs Teacher with a specialization in mathematics for grades F–9 who wants to make a difference in students' academic development and contribute to an accessible and inclusive learning environment.

As a Special Needs Teacher in mathematics, you work both preventively and supportively to help students reach their full potential. You collaborate closely with teachers, student health services, and school leadership to develop teaching methods and create good learning environments for all students.

The position involves working with students individually, in small groups, and within the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and follow up on students' needs for support in mathematics
• Plan and implement special pedagogical interventions
• Tutor students individually and in small groups
• Mentor and support educators in working with extra adaptations and special support
• Participate in the student health team and collaborate with guardians
• Contribute to the school's development work regarding mathematics teaching and accessible learning environments

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed teacher with a Special Needs Teacher degree specializing in mathematics
• Has experience working with students in need of special support
• Has a strong ability to create security, motivation, and good relationships
• Is structured, solution-focused, and flexible
• Collaborates easily with colleagues, student health services, and guardians
• Has an inclusive and professional approach

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment starting August 10, 2026, or as agreed.

Selection will take place on an ongoing basis, and the position may therefore be filled before the application deadline. Since we are a multilingual preschool, we also see that you are comfortable speaking and writing in English and Swedish.
