The Department of Organismal Biology at Uppsala University is advertising a fixed-term position as a researcher within the Evolution and Development Biology program. Responsibilities

You will conduct research and supervise doctoral students within paleontological biogeochemistry. The position may, if needed for the department's operations, also include teaching at the undergraduate and advanced levels, as well as administrative duties.

Qualifications

A PhD in Earth Sciences with a specialization in vertebrate paleontology is required. The applicant must have solid specialist competence in paleontological biogeochemistry, with a particular focus on biogeochemical environmental indicators. Documented expertise in the extraction and interpretation of isotopic and elemental compositions in biominerals from vertebrate hard tissues is mandatory.

About the Position

The appointment is fixed-term until 2027-04-14. The position is full-time (100%). Start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
