At the Environmental and Community Planning Administration, you will work with the municipality's physical planning and development, while making a difference through regulatory authority and advisory services within the environment, construction, food, infectious disease control, and much more. Do you want to work with issues that make a real difference to people's health and living environment? We are now looking for an engaged and solution-oriented Health Protection Inspector who wants to contribute to a safe, sustainable, and healthy municipality.

About the position

As a Health Protection Inspector, you work with supervision and case processing according to the Environmental Code, with a special focus on health protection. You play an important role in contacting business operators, property owners, and residents, contributing with both guidance and regulatory authority.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Supervision of, for example, schools, preschools, care facilities, and hygiene operations
• Planning, conducting, and following up on supervision visits
• Processing complaints and notification cases
• Advising and informing businesses and the public
• Written documentation and decisions on delegation
• Responding to detailed planning and building permit references

You plan most of your work yourself, but work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues in the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who

• Have a university education in environmental and health protection, environmental science, or another education that the employer deems equivalent
• Have good knowledge of the Environmental Code and relevant legislation
• Are structured, responsible, and have good communication skills
• Enjoy a role where you combine regulatory authority with service and advice
• See the value in and prioritize good cooperation with colleagues
• Have good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Have a B driving license

It is an advantage if you have experience of municipal supervision or work within public operations.
