Teacher of French and English at IES Landskrona

IES in Landskrona opened in 2017 and is a compulsory school (grades F-9). Nearly 600 students and 70 employees meet here daily. We are a bilingual school (English-Swedish) following the Swedish curriculum, and our meetings take place mostly in English. Job Details and Terms

The position is for one academic year with a start date of August 7, 2026. The employment is 50–75% depending on whether you wish to teach only French or both French and English. Probationary employment applies during the first 6 months.

At Internationella Engelska Skolan in Landskrona, we work to create an inspiring and engaging learning environment where students develop both their creative skills and self-confidence. We are now looking for an engaged teacher of French (50%) for grades 6-9, as well as English for grade 7 (30%).

Together with your colleagues, you will plan and conduct teaching that sparks curiosity, develops problem-solving skills, and creates a deeper understanding of everyday life. You will become an important part of our team and contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct inspiring pedagogical activities according to LGR22.
• Develop a positive learning environment where all students feel seen and heard.
• Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and others to ensure students' holistic development.
• Document and follow up on students' individual learning processes.
• Teach in both Swedish and English.
• Mentorship for 16 students in grade 9.

About You

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in French and English. You are pedagogical and creative in your work with students, as well as empathetic and attuned to students' individual needs and development.

You are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to grow. You have experience working with pedagogical documentation and possess thorough knowledge of the curriculum. Your communication is direct and humble, and you build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

At our school, study environment is important, which is why you need to be confident in your teaching role and have the ability to create a good working climate in our student groups. You need to be a team player, have a high work ethic, and enjoy working with people in an international school environment. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills with students and colleagues, as well as a desire to help develop our school. Our digital platforms are Google and SchoolSoft.
