Job Description A major public sector organization has conducted a comprehensive analysis of its governance and is now facing a development project related to governance logic, governance models, and working methods. The background is a need to strengthen and clarify the control system in line with increased complexity in operations, initiatives, and delivery models.

The assignment will be carried out iteratively and divided into several parallel workflows. The work is expected to be conducted in shorter work cycles with ongoing check-ins, prioritizations, and the opportunity to adjust direction if necessary. Each work cycle should result in concrete deliverables such as analyses, decision support materials, or other results that can be used directly in the continued development work.

Tasks

Role and Responsibility

The Project Manager is responsible for driving the assignment with the goal of developing a more cohesive, clear, and practically applicable governance logic that supports the organization's needs and strategic goals.

The assignment may include the following tasks:

  • Develop an assignment plan and plan, coordinate, and lead the work to ensure progress according to the assignment's goals and frameworks
  • Act as strategic and operational support to the organization by analyzing the current state and translating conclusions into concrete and feasible solutions
  • Collaborate closely with management and relevant stakeholders
  • Lead and coordinate employees and resources involved in the assignment
  • Ensure delivery according to agreed plan, scope, and quality
  • Develop decision support materials according to established governance and project models
  • Work with a focus on business value and effect realization for different target groups and stakeholders

Exclusions

The assignment does not include:

  • Pure method implementation
  • Development of theoretical models without a clear connection to actual governance, decision-making, and responsibility distribution

Requirements

  • You must, in the role of Project Manager, have conducted at least three projects in the last 10 years where governance was changed or consolidated. The projects should have included moments such as review, development, implementation, or decommissioning of business, organizational, or corporate governance in organizations with several parallel governance forms, such as line, project, and matrix organizations.
  • You must, in the last 10 years, have project-led at least three assignments where changes in governance and/or responsibility distribution were introduced in an established organization. The assignments should have included responsibility for both analysis and actual implementation/anchoring, as well as an active contribution to decisions and choices, including questioning established ways of working.
  • You must have at least 10 years of experience in the role of Project Manager within business development in the last 15 years, with documented experience of working close to management or equivalent decision-making forums.
  • You must have project-led at least three projects with several simultaneous sub-flows and dependencies. In these projects, you must have handled parallel analysis and change tracks, made and facilitated decisions despite incomplete information, and worked change-supportive and not just delivered analyses.
  • You must have participated in at least three projects in the last 10 years where you worked structured in short delivery cycles, handled uncertainties and parallel work tracks, and continuously adapted working methods and priorities based on new insights.
