At Tillväxtverket (Enterprise and Innovation Agency), we work for competitive companies and sustainable development throughout Sweden. We offer knowledge, networks, and investment opportunities. This provides direct benefits to businesses, as well as the prerequisites for companies, municipalities, and regions to meet future challenges. Tillväxtverket is a national agency with a regional presence in nine locations.
Verksamt.se is the joint website of the Swedish agencies, providing information and services to businesses. The website is highly visited, well-used, and appreciated by its users, who are largely Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As one of the driving agencies behind verksamt.se, Tillväxtverket is now seeking a Content Strategist for the web. You will be responsible for developing our content and channel strategy, with a focus on increasing customer satisfaction and the conversion rate of our efforts to reach audiences with content on verksamt.se.
About the role
As the Content Strategist for verksamt.se, you will take the development of our editorial content to the next level and set the direction for the future. You will work with a focus on improvement here and now – what can we do to increase our customer satisfaction and conversion? You will also look ahead to the needs, opportunities, and prerequisites of the coming years – what editorial capabilities do we need to develop to keep up and remain relevant to our target audience?
A central part of our work on verksamt.se is to simplify and explain agency information in a way tailored to the target audience. As Content Strategist, you will translate governance and assignments, target audience needs, user data, and technical and legal prerequisites into web editorial solutions that increase customer satisfaction. This may involve, for example, packaging large legislative packages, AI-optimizing editorial content, and developing working methods, processes, and routines for event-driven news production as a key part of strengthening our crisis communication capabilities.
You will also lead the work to create greater conversion between the content on the website and our communication efforts in our newsletter, Google Ads, and social media. Using environmental scanning and user-driven data will be an important tool in your work, and you will collaborate closely with web editors, communicators, UX/UI designers, and developers. Collaboration with other agencies and networking with other relevant actors will also be important to ensure that our editorial development remains at the forefront.
Your workplace will be in: Stockholm, Östersund, or Malmö.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree from a university or college in Media and Communication Science, Journalism, or equivalent, or alternatively at least two years of studies in another education assessed as relevant for the position, e.g., in content marketing, digital communication, or equivalent.
- At least five years of recent work experience in strategic and operational content work for the web. The work should have been carried out in close collaboration with web editors and content producers.
- Good experience in operational work with CMS tools.
- Good knowledge of SEO/SEM/AEO.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Good knowledge of developing digital content based on the Accessibility to Web Content Act.
The following are meritorious:
- Editorial work at a newsroom.
- Crisis communication.
- Knowledge of the target group SMEs/experience from running your own business.
As a person, we are looking for you who have good collaboration skills and contribute to a good working climate. You have strong drive and the ability to independently identify and implement development initiatives in collaboration, primarily with the web editors. Through your specific knowledge and competence, you show great commitment within your area of responsibility, and you work analytically as well as goal- and result-oriented. You have a good understanding of the governance that affects an agency's prerequisites for working with content management and communication, such as the Swedish Government's values.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
We expect you to live up to our Employee and Manager Policy (https://tillvaxtverket.se/tillvaxtverket/omtillvaxtverket/jobbahososs/fordelarmedattjobbahososs/medarbetarochchefspolicy.600.html), which expresses the expectations we have of all employees.
We assume that you share our values, which are the Swedish Government's Values (https://www.statskontoret.se/fokusomraden/god-forvaltningskultur-och-antikorruption/den-statliga-vardegrunden/). These unite all who are employed by the state, regardless of activity and profession. The values aim to create an administration that is efficient, legally secure, and free from corruption and abuse of power.
