About Skogsbo School

Skogsbo School is a preschool to grade 6 school (F-6) with approximately 450 students. The school is located just outside central Avesta. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by offering a safe learning environment and high-quality teaching, both in school and at the after-school center. We are a partner school with Dalarna University, which means we host teacher students every semester. This contributes to our scientific foundation and the development of our operations.

All teaching at the school should be permeated by our three guiding words: learning, safety, and togetherness, to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites.

The Position of Teacher F-3

1 position available.

This autumn, a reorganization will take place in grades F-3, where qualified F-3 teachers will follow their student groups for four years. As a teacher F-3 at Skogsbo School, you will work in a co-teaching model, where you work flexibly together with a colleague for the students' knowledge development and safety.

We are looking for you who want to help develop our new way of working and give the students good conditions for learning.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant actors to create a safe and developmental environment for the students.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, both individually and in collaboration with work teams and other colleagues.
• Systematically following the students' knowledge development.
• Working according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments.
• Working to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their prerequisites.
• Working in consultation with the student health team to ensure relevant measures are put in place for students in need of additional support.
• Creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Maintaining ongoing contact with guardians and conducting development conferences.
• Having a good overview and care for your students' school day and social situation as a whole, which may involve contact with other authorities and agencies.

Other Duties

• Recess supervision
• Ordering teaching materials and similar items in collaboration with the work team
• Pedagogical lunches, etc.

Qualifications

You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and participatory students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.

You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching style on both group and individual levels.

The responsibilities presuppose that you possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others. You also need to be stable and controlled in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and able to adapt to changed circumstances. You understand the importance of working towards the school's overarching goals and following established routines, guidelines, and decisions, and working for the benefit of the operation.

Your ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and oral, is good.
