ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are currently looking for an engaged and reliable personal assistant for one of our clients in Vänersborg. The position is a permanent part-time role of approximately 25 hours per week. Start date is by agreement, but we would appreciate it if you could start the introduction process as soon as possible.

The working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows:

• 08:00 - 16:00

• 16:00 - 21:00

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a cheerful 15-year-old girl who lives in Vänersborg with her family. She does not speak but communicates through body language. She can walk independently and uses a wheelchair when needed. Additionally, she has a PEG tube (a form of tube feeding) and requires significant care. She can sometimes be aggressive and exhibits self-harming behavior. The duties involve helping her with daily routines such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, feeding, and medication.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who can follow the client's routines and schedule. It is important that you are stress-resistant, firm, and able to set boundaries. We prefer someone who is energetic and enjoys seeing small steps of development. You also need to be pedagogical, flexible, present, and responsible.

Our client prefers female applicants, and personal suitability is highly valued.

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent Swedish skills, both spoken and written

• Non-smoker

• A valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's record of convictions (belastningsregister)

• Previous experience with aggressive behavior

MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Driver's license and access to a car

• Experience working with children with disabilities

• Experience with epilepsy, PEG, medication, and sign language support

• Trained assistant nurse, educator, or similar

• Experience with Positive Behavior Support (PBS)

From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning the register check will include both the extract from the record of convictions and the extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
